What better way to improve communication skills, increase self-esteem, gain confidence and exercise the brain than to participate in performing on stage? Alphabet Academy reserves a neighborhood stage and appoints a theater director to engage the children in a theatrical production, presented on graduation day. Children rehearse for the performance throughout the year, memorizing lines, learning to interact with fellow students and have the opportunity to be creative, enthusiastic and innovative. Theater helps children to “come out of their shells,” appreciate the art form, and use their imaginations in a constructive, supportive environment.
