Valda Gabriel, Director
Although I have a formal education that has prepared me for the classroom, I firmly believe that you cannot ever have enough education when dealing with children and you can never stop learning in the field of Early Childhood Education. Everyday life experiences have helped me to grow and better understand the nature of all children at an early childhood level.
Born on the Island of Dominica, which is located in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean, I embarked on a new path in both my professional and educational careers moving to the United States. Relocating to an education center in Boston, Massachusetts changed my life.
My career in Early Childhood Education began in April 1999. In order to become a more effective and skilled educator, I received my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Urban College in 2002.
In 2003, I continued my education by enrolling at Lesley University. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Studying at Lesley helped me to become a solid mentor and a solid resource for my fellow co-workers. In 2014, I graduated from Lesley University with my Master’s in Education with a concentration in Moderate Disabilities.
